What you can do
- Enter two offers: amount, yearly rate (0% is fine), term in months
- Count every fee: a one-time fee as an amount or a %, paid up front, taken from the loan or added to it, plus a monthly fee
- Add an extra monthly payment and an early repayment fee
- See for each offer the money you receive, the monthly payment, interest, fees, the total you pay, the true cost and the true yearly rate
- Compare over the whole term and if you repay everything after the month you choose
- What if: the rate 1 or 2 points lower or higher, the amount 20% lower or higher, and the rate at which the two offers cost the same
- Full month-by-month schedules, CSV downloads, print a comparison, backup and restore
Example inside
A made-up car loan at 7.49% with a 250 fee against a dealer "0%" offer with a 3.5% fee added to the loan and 5 a month: the dealer offer really costs 2.33% a year – and is still the cheaper one.

- Download the ZIP from Etsy after checkout.
- Unzip and open Envelo-LoanDuel.html in your web browser. Look at the filled example, then press My numbers.
- Fill in Offer A and Offer B. The comparison updates as you type and saves in your browser.
