What it does
What you can do
- Add every project: name, status (planned, on the needles, finished, frogged), start and finish dates, needle or hook, pattern, rows planned and done
- Add the yarn of each project: yarn, colour, dye lot, skeins and the grams and length of a skein – in metres or yards
- See each project’s progress by rows, its yarn in grams and length, and the days from start to finish
- Get a warning when one project has the same colour from two dye lots
- See your year: projects finished, the yarn they took and the days to finish on average
- A true-size project page, 140 × 200 mm, with the yarn and dye lots, a box to tape a yarn snip and a ruler: download as SVG or print at 100 % on A4 or US Letter
- Projects and yarn as CSV tables, backup and restore

Four made-up projects: a cabled hat finished in 20 days, a sock pair in 37 days, a striped cardigan on the needles at 260 of 600 rows (43 %) with Cream from two dye lots, and a baby blanket planned. 2026 in numbers: 2 finished, 300 g and 760 m of yarn, 29 days on average; 800 g of yarn in all projects.
How it works

- Unzip and open Envelo-KnitTally.html in your web browser. Look at the filled example, then press My numbers.
- Add your projects and their yarn. Everything updates as you type and saves in your browser.

Good to know
- This is a digital download. Nothing is shipped.
- No subscription and no account. The app runs on your device and uploads nothing.
- KnitTally keeps the projects and yarn you enter. Write the dye lot from the label – skeins of one colour from different lots may not match.
- No patterns are included, and there is no live row counter – you write the rows done.
- Your numbers do not sync between devices; move them with the backup file.
- For your own use. Please don't resell or share the files.
- The app, its logo, the texts and the translations were made as code with the help of an AI coding assistant. No AI image generators were used.
