- Add your money in each month – pay, child support and benefits – and mark child support as its own kind
- Add your costs as home, child costs you pay alone, or child costs shared with the other parent; only your share goes into your month
- Set the share you agreed: 50/50, 60/40 or any other
- See what is left each month, and what is left without the child support
- If you would be short without it: the buffer for the months you want to cover, and how many your savings already cover
- Log each shared child cost and each payback: KinSplit keeps the balance – who owes whom, after every row
- Print or save as PDF, CSV in and out, backup and restore
Example inside
A made-up parent with two children: 2,300 of pay, 650 of child support and 180 of child benefit; rent, groceries and a car, and childcare, school costs and activities shared 50/50. 545 is left a month, but without the support they are 105 short – 315 covers 3 months. In the shared log they paid for a school trip, a soccer season and books, the other parent for the dentist and birthday gifts: the other parent owes 20.
